 Procida,
Procida belongs to the islands Ischia, Procida and
the uninhabited island Vivara and is the most densely populated island of all
Italian islands. This group of islands owes its origin to massive underwater volcanos.
It had been colonized by Greek seafarers who did flourishing trade with their
home country and therefore helped Ischia to a thriving trade. Its history is to
the same extend connected with its geological youth, thanks to which Ischia is
able to pride itself with thermals and a lush vegetation thanks to which all of
the three islands have a fascinating underwater world. It is only a stone`s throw
to Ischia or Capri - even the Gulf of Naples or Salerno and its cities of Naples,
Sorento or Salerno are not too far away.
But also the Pontinian Archipelago and its islands - Ponza,
Palmorala, Zannone, Ventotene, Santo Stefano or the Aeolian Islands - Lipari,
Salina, Alicudi, Filicudi, Panarea, Vulcano and Stromboli would provide a destination
