varied history it got through wars, pillages by pirates and earthquakes. Reggio
is quite an interesting town. It is well-known for its Museo Nazionale at the
Piazza de Nava with its larger than life monuments that had been found in 1972
off the Calabrian coast. Reggio Calabria is a good starting point to go in a northern
direction to the Liparian Islands (45 sea miles), Ustica (125 sm) or in a southern
direction to Malta (140 sm). |
