Portugal – Get away from it all ... on towards the Fado!

Portugal,
At the Atlantic coast of Portugal in the south of Europe, the most different types of climates between the north and south are to be found. Having passed the Capes S. Vincente, the coastal region is presenting itself with almost a Mediterranean landscape. Owing to this variety, Portugals coasts are perfectly suitable for all sorts of water sport. The north of the country is characterized by Atlantic features: the water is colder and the coast is changingly flat and steep. The further south you sail the more you can benefite, especially in summer, from the outstanding breeze that makes sailing a perfect experience South Tejo`s mouth the ocean is becoming calmer and the air temperature is increasing. If you are sailing along the Algarve coast you can already feel the impact of nearby Mediterranean: on the one hand the mild climate and on the other hand the fantastic calm sea, pleasant warm, of turquoise-blue colour

Algarve
Here you still find the unspoilt beauty of the country like in long-forgotten times. Secluded bathing bays and white sandy beaches that seem to be almost boundless and a perfect dream still have their original character. Small fishing ports, idyllic or modern marinas line the “Glowing Coast” to Spain and invite to stay. Anchor here and enjoy the land and the people´s cordiality, the wine and the specialities of Portuguese cooking. Or go in for a fascinating outing in the Mediterranean through the Gibraltar rocks and feel the magic of nature and of the ocean.
