Seychelles
– Sailing in paradise
|
Seychells The
Seychelles Archipelago can be found in the Indian Ocean, only four degrees of
latitude south of the equator and about 1,600 kilometres east of Africa. It comprises
92 smaller islands and atolls with only about 400 square kilometres of land, which
is, however, spread over an area of 390,000 square kilometres. The sailing area
extends from Mahé over Praslin and La Digue to Bird Island and Denis in
the north and even today makes people dream of times of seafarers and discoverers.
Turquoise and clear waters, ideal for fishing, fantastic beaches, lash fauna,
rampant flora, a fascinating culture and population still having close connections
to nature, - all this is the great richness and splendour of these islands.
