been a very significant Phoenician - Punic colony. The city had been a strategic
basis for Carthage to dominate the Mediterranean. Today these islands make a living
from tourism and offer any kinds of watersports.  There
are three big harbours on Ibiza: San Antonio, Ibiza and Santa Eulalia. For motorboat
yachtsmen tourism is not disturbing because it is often possible to anchor in
a certain distance from all the hustle and bustle. Worth recommending is, in any
case, a round trip around the island and to visit the off-shore islands of Tagomaro,
